SAHBA SALONS

Sahba Salons is a nomadic community and event series that brings together intrepid artists, scholars, scientists, and thinkers to celebrate and uplift the work of diverse and often under-represented creatives. Events are hosted approximately four times per year in Sahba's Palo Alto and Palm Springs studios and typically feature a talk by a featured artist, writer, performer, or thinker followed by an open conversation. Through the lively exchange of ideas and support, Sahba Salons strives to be a catalyst for passionate  individuals to realize their vision and inspire us all along the way.

SAHBA SALONS: SHIKHA HUTCHINS

Sunday, September 28 | 2–4 PM | Palo Alto Studio

Sahba will be in conversation with artist Shikha Hutchins, whose ceramic sculptures investigate mongrel identity, the natural world, and joy as an act of resistance. Her work has been featured in Women Rising, Citizen Joy, and will be on view this fall at the Rhythmix Cultural Center in Alameda.

Shikha and I will be in conversation about identity, being women in the art world, and the ways our practices connect—her ceramics and my paintings—through themes of material, memory, and humor.

Space is limited—please RSVP HERE.
